Much attention has been focused on 2020 being a Presidential Election year, but it also marks an important milestone for women’s suffrage. To mark this pivotal moment in our nation’s history, we are pleased to launch XIX: Shall Not Be Denied.
We developed this brand with input from leaders of cultural, educational, and service organizations across the state. It reflects the wide variety of events and programs that will make this important anniversary relevant to diverse audiences and connect it to contemporary issues.
This partnership initiative of the Rhode Island Department of State and the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities is poised to amplify all the wonderful work being done to engage with this important topic.
